Here is information for the 2026 Polar Plunge:

 

  • What: The Fort Wayne area Polar Plunge to support Special Olympics Indiana

  • When: Saturday, January 31 at Matea County Park (8401 Union Chapel Road, Fort Wayne).

  • Time: TBD

  • Cost: $75 per student / $100 per adult

  • Students and staff from East Allen University have been participating in the Polar Plunge since 2014.

  • We have won the following Polar Plunge awards:

  • Largest Team: 2014, 2016-2025 > Largest Team in the history of the FW area Polar Plunge: 2023 (91 Plungers) Best Costume: 2019 & 2020 Most money raised by a team: 2016, 2025 Most money raised by an individual: 2016

To join the team follow these steps:

  1. Click “Join Team”

  2. On the next page select either Plunger or Virtual Plunger & then click on the + to change the 0 to a 1

  3. Click "I'm Ready to Jump In"

  4. Create your account by filling out the required information & then click on "Next"

  5. Then choose whether or not to give online. If you are simply going to bring cash or checks the day of the event then click on "Skip"

  6. Fill in your name & e-mail one more time & then click "Reserve"
