  2. Seniors are expected to meet at the Rhinehart Music Center at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018.

Seniors should immediately check in with Ms. Antrim for attendance. Seniors should be lined up before 5:45 p.m. for roll call. Failure to do so may prevent the student from walking in graduation.

  3. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. SHARP.  Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

  4. Parking is FREE at IPFW. Garage #3 is next to the Rhinehart Music Center. Garage #2 is two blocks away.

  5. General Admission seating is available as well as handicapped accommodations.  There are 1,400 seats available for the families of 66 graduates. One hundred seats are reserved for graduates and staff. This area will be roped off prior to the event.

  6. The Rhinehart Center is air-conditioned for your comfort. Food and drinks are not permitted inside the presentation hall area.

  7. Guys MUST wear a white dress shirt, tie, dress pants and dress shoes and socks.  No white or colored tennis shoes will be allowed.  Ladies MUST wear a dress, skirt, slacks and blouse and dress shoes.  Shorts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, etc. are not permitted.

  8. Students under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to participate in graduation.  Police will be on duty to handle these situations.

  9. Graduating seniors and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with a dignified ceremony.  “Don’t risk what you are not willing to lose.”

  10. When your students’ name is announced to receive his/her diploma, you, as parents/guardians, are asked to stand.

  11. PLEASE! No “whistles,” “shouts,” “cat calls,” or “noise makers,” etc.  These “outbursts” are not appropriate for a Graduation Ceremony.

  12. A professional photographer will take each graduate’s picture as they walk onto the stage, receive their diploma, and after they exit the stage.  If you have questions concerning pictures, please direct them to Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Eichenauer.

  13. We anticipate a large crowd for graduation, and we will do everything possible to limit the ceremony to a reasonable length of time, hopefully one hour or less.

  14. During graduation practice, students will be instructed in the procedures for gathering with relatives and exiting the Rhinehart Center after the graduation ceremony. In addition, students will be informed about how to collect their EAU High School Diploma and return their graduation gowns. Students keep caps only.

  15. The decoration of graduation gaps or gowns is prohibited.

  16. Senior Class Picture - TBD (senior student council).

  17. Students who do not meet all high school graduation requirements will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.

  18. Parents - In the interest of time and in order to preserve the dignity of the graduation ceremony, we ask that recognition of all graduates be held until all seniors have received their diplomas.  Traditionally the graduation ceremony is a dignified ceremony, and anything that interferes with the ceremony is disturbing to all. We ask that there be no yelling, whistling, or other activity that would draw undue attention to a particular graduate.  We also ask that you encourage your son/daughter to conduct himself/herself in a manner that will not detract from the dignity of the ceremony.  The time for recognition is at the end of the reading of all graduates’ names. I know all of you are proud of your graduate, but individual recognition is out of order and you are asked to refrain from it. Parents, we really need your cooperation in this matter.  Please do your part to make sure we have an orderly graduation.
